Saturday morning we got up and headed off to the zoo for the day.  It was Zach's first time at the zoo.  He has started showing a lot of interest in animals lately, so I thought it was the right time to intorduce him to a wider variety.  I think he had a pretty good time except for a short meltdown near lunchtime.  After some food and a quick nap in the stroller, he was much happier.  He seemed to be most impressed with the elephants, but really, how can you not be impressed with elephants?

Take a picture of something that made you smile.

Here are two things that made me smile.  The first was my little project last weeekend.  I finally put pictures in the frames that we received as gifts when Zach was born.  I really enjoyed taking the time to sort through all of his pictures and pick out the ones to print and put in frames. 

The second pic is a picture of Zach having his breakfast at day care this morning.  He was in such a great mood this morning that I really didn't want to leave.  He was all smiles, which in turn, made me smile.  Nothing else can make me smile the way he can.

Last Friday we took the little man to the pool for the first time this summer.  We took him a couple of times last year, but he was a little young to really enjoy it.  This time around he had a blast splashing and kicking in the water. 

He got worn out pretty quickly, so we decided to get out and sit by the pool for a bit while we dried off.  He was so cute sitting in the big chairs.  He decided to lay back and relax and I snapped this photo at just the right moment.
